Making the Montage

The dictionary describes a montage as follows:
"The production of a rapid succession of images in a motion picture to illustrate an association of ideas"

So in simple terms? A montage is often used in movies and television to advance the plot in a quick, sometimes humorous, but always entertaining manner. The star of a montage normally has a goal they set out to achieve and through the power of movie magic we witness them doing so in an fun easygoing way along side a catchy song. Some well known montage examples are Baby in Dirty Dancing learning how to dance, Elle Woods in Legal Blonde advances above the other students in Harvard, and of course one of the most well known of all times - Rocky trains to become a fighter in Rocky.

So where do I fit into all of this? Being a self proclaimed movie buff I have always loved the idea of a montage. How amazing would it be if we could achieve hard goals within minutes to an inspiring song? Well - I'm setting out to do this. OR.... at least create the illusion I did. My goal? Loss weight. No actor in a fat suit here. I will film the trials and tribulations of losing weight and piece them together so it will appear I lived a real life montage. This blog will follow the process - ENJOY!
